He Came for the Addict, the Drunk, the Desperate
To the man trembling with shame behind a liquor store,
To the woman who sold her body to feed her child,
To the teenager shooting up in an alleyway just to forget the pain—
He comes—not with judgment, but with scars.
“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief… Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.”—Isaiah 53:3–4
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”—Luke 19:10
His love does not flinch at dirt.
His mercy does not recoil from relapse.
He calls them by name.
He weeps with them.
He rises for them.
He Came for the Religious and the Rebellious
For the priest and pastor who goes through motions but feels no fire,
For the one who grew up in truth but now walks far from it,
For the one who mocks heaven because the pain here feels too real—
He comes with compassion.
To the Pharisee, to the skeptic, to the spiritual exile,
He says:
“You don’t have to pretend. I know the emptiness behind the mask. Let Me breathe real life into you.”
“These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.”—Matthew 15:8
“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow.”—Isaiah 1:18
He came not just for sinners—but for everyone who forgot they were sons and daughters.
“To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”—John 1:12
He Came for the Rich in Their Palaces and the Poor in Their Prisons
To the CEO with bloodshot eyes and a hollow chest—He says,
“I am the treasure that cannot rot.”
To the woman sleeping in a shelter, clutching her child, He says,
“You are royalty. I am preparing a place for you.”
He is the God who sits at both the banquet table and the soup kitchen.
And He asks both:
“Will you follow Me to where the broken are?
Will you let Me resurrect your heart?”
He Came for the Abused and the Abuser
Yes—this love is that wild.
That holy.
That unfathomable.
To the one shattered by betrayal,
To the one who caused the wound and longs for forgiveness,
To the one who hates themselves for what they did, or what was done to them—
He says:
Come.
There is no sin deeper than My blood.
No wound beyond My healing.
No shame I will not cover with My own garment of righteousness.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”—Psalm 147:3
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us… and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”—1 John 1:9
“Though your sins are many, they shall be as white as snow.”—Isaiah 1:18
He Came for the Joyful, the Innocent, the Quietly Faithful
To the grandmother praying in secret, lighting candles with trembling hands.
To the child who believes with simple trust.
To the quiet servant who gives without recognition—
He says:
I see you.
I know you.
And I have prepared crowns for the meek, robes for the righteous, joy for the humble.
“Your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”—Matthew 6:6
They, too, are part of the harvest.
He is the Firstfruits—and these are the early blossoms.
This Is Not Small Love.
This Is Not Sentimental Love.
This is eternal love.
Pierced love.
Flame-wrapped love.
This is the lion’s roar that came from the tomb.
This is the love that will not stop until every prodigal comes home,
Every chain is broken,
And the whole world sings:
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain and has risen again!"(Revelation 5:12)
Prayer:
Breathe Now. Receive It. Let It Burn Through You.
Yeshua, Oh Resurrected One,
Call us again with your fire.
Call the lost.
Call the proud.
Call the ashamed.
Call the forgotten.
Call me.
Make us part of your rising.
Make us echoes of Your voice,
Make me a harvester in Your field,
And bearer of Your unstoppable, undying, redeeming love.
And the Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ Let the thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”—Revelation 22:17
