For those of us who serve with love in hard, hidden places.
Who bring life where others turn away.
Who’ve thought of leaving— but stay.
Prayerfully meditate over the bible verses quoted below:
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”—Psalm 91:1
I burn to dwell in the cleft of the mountains—
To press my soul into the Rock where Yahweh’s glory passes by,
To feel the thunder of heaven in my bones,
To be wrapped in the nearness of my God.
“Then the LORD said, ‘There is a place near Me where you may stand on a rock… and I will cover you with My hand until I have passed by.’”—Exodus 33:21–22
I ache to live where the air is thick with holiness,
Where every breath is prayer,
Where sunlight drips with the oil of the Ruach ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)
And the wind sings the Name of the Living God—Yahweh.
“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.”—Psalm 150:6
“Your name is ointment poured forth…”—Song of Songs 1:3
I hunger for that place—Where soul and sky are one,
Where the veil is torn,
Where I am wholly known,
wholly loved,
wholly free in Yeshua, my Redeemer, my King.
“The veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.”— Matthew 27:51
“Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”— 1 Corinthians 13:12
But not yet…Not yet.
I thirst to live where the river runs wild and full
Where it sings with power,
Where it rushes with mercy,
Where it carries me straight to the heart of Yahweh.
“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.”—Psalm 46:4
“Whoever believes in Me… rivers of living water will flow from within them.”—John 7:38
The depths of me long to dwell in that promised place,
The home Yeshua has prepared—
Where glory is not a flicker but a flood,
Where every breath I take is drenched in Your radiance,
And the air itself whispers, “You are Mine.”
“I go to prepare a place for you.”—John 14:2
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine.”—Isaiah 43:1
I see it in dreams.
I feel it in the marrow of my soul.
It calls to me like deep calls to deep.
“Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls.”—Psalm 42:7
But not yet…Not yet.
And here I am—Kneeling in this valley of dry bones, heart wide open,
Calling breath into what the world has forgotten.
I stand not in my own strength,
But in the fierce love that burns for what is Yours,O Yahweh.
“Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign LORD, You alone know.”—Ezekiel 37:3
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD of hosts.—Zechariah 4:6
Here I am, my God and my King—Breathing life where death once ruled,
Whispering Your Spirit into dust and silence,
Holding sacred what belongs to You, Yeshua.
“Prophesy to these bones and say… ‘I will put My Spirit in you and you will live.’”—Ezekiel 37:5–6
This wilderness is cracked and aching,
So parched for the rain of Your presence,
So desperate for the kiss of Your mercy.
But I will not run.
I will not hide.
“I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.”—Hosea 2:14“
You are the God who sees me.”—Genesis 16:13
Here I am—
Still standing, still loving,
Still fighting for what is holy,
Still crying out for Your glory to fall.
“Here I am! Send me.”—Isaiah 6:8“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent.”—Isaiah 62:1
Here I am… for You, Yahweh.
Always—for You.
Yet, I ache to live where it is always springtime
Where the earth is forever awakening,
Where every blossom is a hymn,
And the air breathes with the fragrance of Your mercy.
“The winter is past… the flowers appear on the earth.”— Song of Songs 2:11–12
So near to heaven…So unspeakably close to You, my God
Closer than breath, closer than heartbeat.
“He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being.”—Acts 17:27–28
In quiet moments I can see a day when —
I rise with the morning wrapped in Your light,
Where my soul sings before my lips can speak,
While the trees dance in holy reverence,
Their leaves clapping in time with the joy of life eternal.
“The trees of the field will clap their hands.”—Isaiah 55:12
“My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning.”—Psalm 130:6
I treasure the blessing that by your loving kindness —
You commanded me into being, Yahweh, to live in Your loving gaze.
Reserved for Your purpose,
Saved by the sacred blood of Yeshua,
“Even before I was born, the LORD called me.”—Isaiah 49:1
“You were bought with a price.”—1 Corinthians 6:20
I was made for that place—That endless garden of praise,
That eternal spring that flows from Your throne.
“The river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”—Revelation 22:1
But not yet…Not yet.
And still, here I am—In this valley of dry bones, I stand,
Not by strength,
But by obedience to the call of Yahweh upon my soul.
“Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”—Luke 11:28
I breathe life because You commanded it.
I whisper Spirit because You are holy.
I remain here not for comfort,
Nor for gain or fame—But because You, Yeshua, have asked me to serve,
Even in this wilderness.
This land is barren,
The soil deeply cracked with sorrow.
In the dark shadow of night,
I grow thirsty—Not for ease,
But for a fellow traveler who bears the weight with me,
For Your Word, and the joy of sharing it,
For Your will alone—A sweet solace of presence, O God of Abraham,
Your will be done…
as I plea "let the flames of repentance blaze in the hearts of men,"
O Lord, that they may turn and behold Your grace, and be embraced by the holy love You have poured out upon all flesh.
“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”—Psalm 119:105
“Not My will, but Yours be done.”—Luke 22:42
So here I am—Your servant,
Your flame,Your hands in the dust.
Let me speak what Yahweh speaks.
Help me love what Yeshua loves.
Let me carry light until You say, "It is enough."
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”—Matthew 25:23
Yes, here I am.Until You call me home…Here I am.
